Urban Rookery

Huge rooks' nests from felled trees were salvaged and regenerated by being presented on scaffold.  Soundtrack of rooks voices in their natural habitat and moving coloured lights activate the artwork creating moving shadows which result in a multi-sensory experience for viewers.  Ideas of displacement and temporality are shown and the use of construction material links the urban with nature.  The outside is brought in.  Here the scaffold poles are knitted together irregularly to make industrial 'nest' like structures that support the organic nests.
